CARLA PRYOR, Co-Owner and Chief Executive Officer PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS, RYT
Dr. Carla Pryor is a graduate of the University of Southern California, achieving her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2010. Her undergraduate education was at the University of California, Davis where she earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Human Development. Dr. Pryor completed her orthopedic residency in 2011 and became a board certified orthopedic specialist in 2012. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a Registered Yoga Teacher. In addition to working with clients with orthopedic pain, Dr. Pryor has experience working with clients with cardiopulmonary pathology and has held lectures on cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and orthopedics. Dr. Pryor is passionate about considering clients’ goals and addressing orthopedic pain from a total body approach, with a firm belief that multiple body systems must be address to most effectively help someone achieve lasting physical change. Outside of Redefine Health and Fitness, Dr. Pryor is an avid long distance trail runner, hiker, yoga practitioner, and cook. She lives in Encinitas with her husband and two Vizslas , Miles and Chase.
MADISON GOLDIN, PT, DPT, RYT
Madison grew up in Bloomington, Indiana where she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at Indiana University. Following college, Madison moved to San Diego to pursue her graduate degree at San Diego State University where she became a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Madi grew up performing gymnastics and cheerleading, which inspired her love for yoga. She completed her yoga teacher training through Yoga Six and is now a certified yoga instructor. Madison has been working as a physical therapist at an outpatient orthopedic clinic for the past 3 years. Her love of helping others and dedication to focusing on a holistic approach continues to grow and shape her approach. Madi loves yoga, running, surfing, hiking, traveling, and playing with her Mastiff, Dennis.
BRITTNEY ELLERS PT, DPT, RYT
Originally from Pasadena, CA, Brittney went to the University of Washington in Seattle and received her BA in Communication and Dance. She completed her graduate studies at the University of St. Augustine in San Marcos, CA in 2016 to become a Doctor of Physical Therapy with a concentration in manual therapy. While in school, she became a certified yoga instructor through Yoga Six, and has been using yoga as a tool in her practice and continues to teach public classes. She has a special interest in women’s health as they cycle each month, how that can (and should) impact their work/home focus, exercise, and diet, which stemmed from her own journey of health. She is also passionate about helping women transform into mothers in the prenatal and postpartum period of their lives, and is certified in prenatal yoga and pelvic floor physical therapy. When not working, she loves spending time on her own yoga practice, getting outdoors and exploring everything this world has to offer.
PAULA LAMONT PT, DPT, CAFS, RYT
Paula grew up in New Zealand where she began her Physiotherapy training before pursuing an athletic scholarship in track and field in the USA. Paula completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in San Diego and continues to run competitively for a local team. Paula is trained and certified in applied functional science (AFS) with a background and enthusiasm for running and biomechanics. She is passionate about helping others learn about their body and enhancing the way they move in order to reach their goals and improve performance. She believes that no body part moves (or is injured) in isolation and addressing the entire kinetic chain in rehabilitation is essential for full recovery and injury prevention.
RYAN OCONNOR, PT, DPT
Ryan is a graduate of San Diego State University having received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. He brings a passion for physical therapy and client care that strives to empower clients to participate in the activities and sports that they are passionate about. Ryan works to eliminate barriers that prevent clients from living the lives they desire to lead. He takes a holistic approach to client care and is focused on creating a positive and safe environment that allows clients to achieve their goals. His work is framed by how important movement and being active has been in his life. Ryan enjoys surfing, hiking, yoga, running, snowboarding, basketball, climbing, and backpacking.
